Patrols can consist of any type of unit, from heavy tanks to light aircraft to legging it. My unit used Humvee’s to patrol Route Pluto in east Baghdad. Patrolling in any context can be a dangerous affair. You are exposed, you are out there and can only hope nothing bad happens. Be a hard target, trust your instincts and hope they’re out of munitions today.
